Kings Beach

Description

King’s Beach is a phenomenal Blue Flag beach situated along Port Elizabeth’s Sunshine Coast in the Eastern Cape. The 1.6km golden beach stretches from the harbour wall towards the neighbouring Humewood Beach and attracts swimmers, surfers, sun tanners, and especially families due to its excellent kid friendly facilities.

King’s Beach is popular due to its warm waters and close proximity to various amenities, including excellent change rooms, ablution facilities, ample parking, and lifeguards on duty during the peak season. There are also several education programmes and interpretive sign boards available during the holiday season.

If you walk along the King’s Beach promenade, you will find MacArthur’s Baths Pool Complex which offers 2 open air swimming pools as well as a large exercise pool. There is also a supertube to amuse people of all ages, a mini golf course, go karting rink, and numerous restaurants and shops. The Bayworld museum centre is located nearby, and features a museum, snake park, and aquarium.
