Silvermine Nature Reserve
Description
Silvermine Nature Reserve forms part of the Table Mountain National Park and covers the section of the Cape Peninsula mountain range from Kalk Bay through to Constantiaberg. The area is protected for its indigenous fynbos vegetation and is a great place to spend a day in the sunshine.
Silvermine is popular for walking, hiking, picnicking, swimming, and mountain biking. There are a number of cave systems and rock climbing routes to explore. Silvermine Dam is a wonderful place to have a picnic and a swim, and it is often full of swimmers and lilos on a sunny day. There is a wheelchair friendly boardwalk that surrounds the dam.
