"Need to clean the streets, a lot of rubbish around. Night driving is a bit scary, lots of cars driving recklessly, maybe a bigger law enforcement presence at night."
Daar is baie toeriste-aantreklikede."
Voel soos huis! PE was goed vir ons. Ons is mal oor Kings Beach."
"No traffic! Friendly residents. Safe for walks and runs. Lovely beaches and malls and traffic officers. I do wish there were more night markets inviting you out etc. But a really tranquil city!"
"It is definitely not a tourist destination with not much to do. I travelled for work, but my husband just went along and didn't have much to do. We did have one day to do things. Googling "things to do in PE" does not help at all, as the only answers are game drives and coming from Mpumalanga it is not something I would want to do. We ended up driving around to find places. Fort Frederick is interesting but sadly abandoned, as well as the infamous lighthouse. Sancorp was very interesting and I am saddened that not many people know about them as they do amazing work. Camelot Spa was amazing and shark rock pier was very well looked after. The rest of the town is kind of run-down and littered. A letdown if you compare it to other harbour/ industrial ocean areas like Mosselbay and V&A Waterfront."
"Port Elizabeth is a beautiful city. As in any city or town in South Africa, you need to be vigilant and take note of your surroundings. There are many beautiful places to visit. Just to be safe, ask your hosts for recommendations before you set out exploring."
"Seefront is nie winderig nie. Mense baie vriendelik. Barney's se kos is fantasties."
"It is true - it is a windy city with unexpected rain and thunderstorms. We didn't do many outdoor activities or visit any game reserves but the city itself is clean and full of greenery."
"The beach is pretty and also some neighborhoods are beautiful. But there is not that much to see. We were there because it has an airport at which we could land near the coast."
Strande by Summersand was baie netjies en skoon. Sal graag weer daar wil kom vakansie hou."
"Summerstrand has neatly nestled into our top three destinations in the country. Friendly locals, lovely facilities. We purposefully not left anything in the car while parked. It stays a winning recipe."
