"Elgin Railway Market is a definite place to visit again and again!"
"Because of the rain we only checked out the pizza market and that was wonderful."
"We enjoyed the Railway Market and visited wine farms and there's always plenty of places to eat."
"Grabouw has always been on my list to visit and it didn't disappoint us. The only concern is that a few of the restaurants listed were temporarily closed so places to eat in the evening were rather scarce. The wine farms in the area were delightful and the staff were exceptionally good."
"Elgin market is must. On a Saturday there is the steam train to look at. A round trip down the Highlands pass is great with a stop at the look out point then having a milk shake at the Bot River Hotel. Of course one can have something a bit stronger. The Highlands road is a good gravel road, but going down might be a bit nerve racking for a short distance."
"Grabouw is beautiful - we have done the Green and Blue Mountain trails, and love the area."
"Elgin and Grabouw are seriously underrated. There is quite a bit to do in this area, and it boasts some of the best wines in the country. Perfect place to go if you are looking for a wholesome, small-town feel. Most of the lodges or guest farms have a lovely English/Scottish country feel, and the people are super friendly. Definitely check out the Railway Market (best pizza I've ever had), Paul Wallace Wines, Almenkerk Wine Farm and Peregrine."
