"Hibberdene has visibly improved over the last 3 years since 2014. Now there was less litter in the bushes, less rubbish on the streets, less buds on the grass near the beach, and the behaviour of people making use of the benches and tables overlooking the beach has improved. Three years ago the situation was near intolerable and as a result Gladiator Security, a local security company, was then patrolling on the beach at night. Showers in the change rooms at the beach were not working now which is a pity. Beach stewards employed as part of Blue Flag Beach project are now making a difference at the beach. "
"It was a pleasure to see such a clean, well kept village. No litter, well kept grass verges etc. (Refuse collection 3 times a week......unheard of in Durban.) We had viewed other holiday destinations between Durban and Hibberdene and it was so sad to see how run down some of them were. The main problem being piles of litter along the way. Well done Hibberdene. "
