"Lyk na 'n lekker dorp. Slaggate in paaie was effens van 'n probleem gewees. Lekker, rustige plek."
"Dis by die wildtuinhek.
"The town is going backwards. The parks are without grass or just dead grass. Tar roads are very bad, especially the street where Elephant Guesthouse is (felt as if I can scrape the tar off with a spoon), difficult to drive at night as the street lamps were not burning; there was a sewerage drain overflowing and the smell in the street were horrible (near the garage with an OK mini-market). Sad state of affairs. To think overseas travellers must go to this town and experience all this is very sad."
"Prentjiemooi!
"Phalaborwa is a lovely town that offers all amenities a person can ask for. The gate to Kruger Park is central and very nice. The road from Polokwane through Tzaneen is amazing with no potholes the entire way."
"The place to be to experience amazing camping as well as the wildlife by Kruger National Park."
"Phalaborwa is a charming mining town that is enclosed by the Kruger National Park as well as many private parks. There is a national airport about 5 km from town which makes it accessible for out of town travelers. However, the town shuts down pretty early: by 7pm all supermarkets and convenient stores are closed, the restaurants sometimes close pretty early as well and often offer sub-standard service. Only Foxterriors and Gholovan have great customer service as well as good value for money. Besides that, there is not much in the way of amenities. There are also no other activities in the area apart from game drives which makes it a little dull in the way of adventure. Other than that, it is a quaint, peaceful town with very little violence thanks to the two major military bases in the area."
"We only overnighted en route to Kruger. It is a beautiful area. Could spend more time there. Amazing avos."
"We recommend everyone going there should visit Phalaborwa mines view point."
