"Hopetown is a run-down town with some hidden gems that locals would have to point out. The state of the roads in town is bad - uneven, potholed roads and there are many dilapidated buildings, such as clubs, houses, a church. I cannot help but think that there is much-untapped potential here. But currently, a good guest house is valuable on one's way through."
"Stop gerus by The Old Mill Coffee Shop vir heerlike kos en verversings.
"Hanover is a very run down and neglected town. However, some individuals are trying hard to improve the status and there are some great stays available. Feathers pub & grill is fantastic and well worth the stop."
"It's a little out of the way from the busier routes, but was a delight to find given where we were going."
"Besoek Upington gereeld.
Colesberg is eintlik net ’n oornag plekkie."
"Our stay in Calvinia exceeded all our expectations. We have fallen in love with Calvinia and are planning to undertake many more excursions there."
"Baie droog, area benodig dringend groot reën.
"Has an informative Histoical Museum. Good butchery and open spaces, and a good restaurant."
"Nice feeling to the town and worth staying over to relax and unwind and to experience the Karoo quietness and energy."
