22 Hornbill Street is situated in the town of St Lucia, and offers comfortable self-catering accommodation in a large brick and log house. The house features a swimming pool and a braai area in a lovely garden.
The house has 3 levels and can accommodate up to 10 guests. There are 7 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms are on the ground level, 3 bedrooms are on the middle level and 2 of the bedrooms are on the top level. There are 2 bedrooms with a queen-size bed in each, 2 bedrooms with 2 single beds in each, a further 2 bedrooms with 1 single bed in each and the main bedroom with a king-size bed. Both bath and shower facilities are available. Three of the bedrooms are air-conditioned for those hot summer days.
The kitchen is equipped for self-catering with a fridge, an oven, a stove and a microwave, as well as a seating area. The house also comprises a dining room and a lounge, and is equipped with a deep freezer, suitable for fishermen to keep their catch.
St Lucia is a World Heritage Site, and offers a game reserve and beaches. Fishing is a popular activity, and banded mongoose and monkeys inhabit the area. Buck and hippo are often seen in town at night. iSimangaliso Wetland Park is located nearby.
