29 Doornkop Fish and Wildlife Reserve is a self-catering lodge located in a game reserve, situated 27 km from Carolina in Mpumalanga. Ideal for a family looking for comfortable lodging, away from city life but close to an array of activities.
The lodge is fully furnished and comprises 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, and an open-plan living area. The bedrooms are equipped with either a double bed or twin beds, with a bath, basin and toilet in all of the bathrooms. The kitchen is well-equipped to prepare and cook meals and contains all the appliances and utensils to do so.
The lounge has neat seating arrangements to relax on, a fireplace, and there is a TV with full HD DStv. The living area leads out to the upstairs, thatched patio, where guests can make use of a gas braai facility. Downstairs there is a lapa for fire and braai. The reserve also offers a clubhouse, communal swimming pools, braai areas, a games room, as well as hiking trails and a mountain bike trail to make use of.
For the adventurous, the reserve and area surroundings host an array of outdoor activities to experience, such as game drives, hiking trails, river swimming, fishing, 4x4 and mountain biking trails, fishing, and bird watching opportunities, to name but a few.
