Description

African Dawn is a very popular establishment that offers quality accommodation on the slopes of Karbonkelberg in Hout Bay, with uninterrupted views of Chapman's Peak Drive.

Accommodation is offered in 2 self catering units, namely The Sea Cottage/unit, and the Fisherman's Cottage. The The Sea Cottage/unit consists of 2 rooms with one bathroom. A lockable sliding door with curtains, seperates the 2 rooms. Each room has its own entrance. The Sea Cottage/Unit is ideal for a couple with one or 2 children or 2 couples visiting/on holiday together. There are 2 beds, one queen and one double, smart televisions with open view, a bar fridge and microwave that they share. Guests can use the swimming pool and also enjoy playing pool and table tennis, darts and many board games. Guests will have access to the hob in the main kitchen. NB. The 2nd room will remain empty if it is only one couple that booked the main room.

The Fishermans Cottage is a self catering cottage with a seperate entrance. It is furnished with a queen-size bed and features an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet, and washbasin. Fisherman’s Cottage has a kitchenette equipped with a fridge, stove, microwave, toaster, kettle and other kitchen appliances Please check the other room should you be more than 2 people or a family.

Guests have access to the shared living area which is furnished with a 3 piece lounge suite, a 5 seater corner couch, and a fireplace. Free Wi-Fi is also available. There is dining seating for more than 15 people.

The sliding doors lead to the outdoor entertainment area which has a dining table with chairs, a braai area, and a pool table. This area leads to a deck where guests can cool down in the swimming pool and take in the magnificent sea- and mountain views. The owner lives in a separate room on the second floor.

The property is a very short drive from a vibrant market, The Bay Harbour Market that offers live music, arts and craft, and good food and drinks. Guests are welcome to enquire about being given a lift to the market.

The property is also close to wine farms in Constantia and Noordhoek, a number of restaurants, the World of birds, guided hikes up Karbonkelberg (5 minutes walk from our house), the Clay Cafe, Hout Bay beach, Art galleries, and major supermarkets.
