Nestled in the heart of the Little Karoo, Alchemy Retreat offers quality self-catering accommodation with an old-world charm on a picturesque farm near Route 62. With starry night skies, rustic roads, and magnificent views of the surroundings, this property makes the ideal destination for a large family or group seeking a remote getaway.
The farm homestead comprises the 4-bedroom Manor House, 2-bedroom Bluegum Barn, and Cockadoodle Bunkhouse, accommodating up to 17 guests in total. The bedrooms in the Manor House are furnished with a king-size bed that can be converted to 2 single beds. Two of these rooms have an en-suite bathroom fitted with either a bath and shower, or a shower only. The rest of the rooms share a bathroom fitted with a bath and shower.
Bluegum Barn has 2 bedrooms, one furnished with 2 single beds and the second with a king-size bed that can be converted to 2 single beds. These rooms share a bathroom fitted with a shower. It also includes a kitchen and open-plan living area. Cockadoodle is ideal for teenagers or younger kids and is furnished with 3 single beds and a bunk bed. The en-suite bathroom is fitted with a shower. A small kitchenette is available in this unit.
Guests have access to 2 kitchens, one of which boasts an Aga stove. The main kitchen, located in the manor, is equipped with a fridge-freezer, gas stove, oven, microwave, and dishwasher. The living area features a fireplace, dining table, comfy lounge suite, board games, and reading material. A cosy reading nook is available as well.
Outside, guests can enjoy the use of braai facilities as well as the portable pizza oven. On chilly evenings, the KolKol wood-fired hot tub provides the ideal setting for guests to rejuvenate with sundowners.
