Amara Tomana is a duplex cottage that can sleep 2 to 8 guests. It is situated 150 km south of Bloemfontein in Boesmanskop on the farm, Vanderhovensrust. It is the ideal getaway from city life for couples, families or groups of friends. Amara Tomana is independent from the traditional power grid and uses solar power and gas stoves and fridges.
The cottage consists of 2 bedrooms, the main bedroom with a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom. The second room is situated upstairs with 2 double-size beds and 2 single beds. There is a bathroom downstairs. The living area is open-plan with a kitchen, dining table and lounge area. The kitchen has a gas stove and a gas refrigerator as well as other appliances. There is solar power for lights and a gas geyser for the shower.
The large outside boma is great for evening braai's or relaxing around the fire while enjoying the stars of the milky way. Activities include bird-watching, guinea-fowl hunting and the 5 km challenging mountain road offers guests the opportunity to test their fitness by walking, running, and cycling.
