Ammazulu African Palace is located in Kloof; a visionary lodge celebrating the cultural heritage of KwaZulu-Natal has risen on the edge of the Kloof Gorge, overlooking the Krantzkloof Nature Reserve.
Ammazulu offers a combination of 4 different types of rooms. Each room is unique and has been decorated with traditional and antique African beads and crafts. Every room has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a large bath, shower and granite top wash basin. The honesty minibar is stocked with local alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Homemade biscuits await all our guests with coffee or tea in the room. All of the suites have equipped with their own verandah offering a spectacular view. Wireless Internet facilities are also available in all rooms.
It has been designed principally by Kevin MacGarry of Architects Collaborative, with assistance from the owner, who has been nurturing the site for some 4 decades. The visitor to this truly unique destination will be forgiven if he or she felt a distinct sensory overload as there is so much to take in, explore and experience. From the breathtaking view of the gorge to the private Zulu art collection in each of the 10 suites, Ammazulu African Palace is a place that will capture your imagination every time you return.
AmmaZulu African Palace is a unique luxury lodge on the edge of the Kloof Gorge and Krantzkloof Nature Reserve. A truly spectacular venue for you to unwind and experience a special stay in the elaborately crafted and decorated walkways, halls and bedrooms using bead work and African artifacts. You can pamper yourself in our sauna or steam room or merely lounge on one of the many decks overlooking the beautiful natural surroundings with zebra grazing a few meters away in the reserve.
