Blye Uitsig offers basic self-catering accommodation enveloped in farmlands in the heart of the Klein Karoo, approximately 15 kilometers from Oudtshoorn, the ostrich capital of the world. It is a perfect stopover halfway between Cape Town and Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) travelling on route 62.
Blye Uitsig can comfortably accommodate 17 guests in 2 separate farmhouses.
The De Wit Huis has 3 bedrooms, a living area with 2 single beds and 1 bathroom and can accommodate 7 guests, while the Visser Unit has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and can accommodate up to 10 guests. Each unit features a fully equipped kitchen and braai facilities. De Wit Huis has air-conditioning in the main bedroom and living room and the Visserhuis has air-conditioning in all 4 rooms.
All bedding and towels are provided.
From the spacious verandas, guests can enjoy great views of the majestic Swartberg mountain range. There is also a nearby swimming pool where guests can swim in the hot summer days.
Shaded parking is available. Wood available, prior to arrangement.
There is a variety of activities in and around Oudtshoorn. Guests can visit one of the ostrich farms, Highgate Ostrich Farm, Safari Ostrich Farm or Cango Ostrich Farm or do a wine tasting at Karusa Wines, or visit the Grundheim wine cellar. Guests also can go for a walk on the farm where they can enjoy the outdoors.
