Description
Bona Ngwenya Lodge is a beautifully appointed retreat, located on the banks of the Crocodile River and bordering the Kruger National Park. Offering self-catering accommodation within the Marloth Park Conservancy, this property is ideal for a memorable getaway in the bush with family and friends.
The lodge accommodates up to 6 adults and 1 child, comprising 2 bedrooms, a loft room, and 3 bathrooms. Bedrooms 1 and 2 are furnished with double beds and en-suite bathrooms, each fitted with a shower, washbasin, and toilet. The loft room contains a double bed and a single bed for children only, with a separate bathroom that features a shower, washbasin, and toilet. Linen and bath towels are provided; however, guests are required to bring their own swimming towels.
The living areas include a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge-freezer, stove, oven, microwave, ice maker, cutlery, crockery, and tea-and-coffee-making facilities. For added convenience, a dishwasher is also available. The air-conditioned lounge offers ample comfortable seating, a TV with a full bouquet of DSTV channels, and access to complimentary Wi-Fi.
Outside, guests can enjoy a lovely undercover patio with a built-in braai, comfortable seating, and a 6-seater dining table, perfect for dining and relaxation. The lodge also offers a private on-site swimming pool for guests' enjoyment. Secure parking is available.
One of the highlights of the lodge is its thatched game-viewing tower, which offers a 180° view of the Crocodile River and the Kruger National Park. From the tower, guests can spot a variety of wildlife, including lions, buffalo, giraffe, elephants, wild dogs, hippos, crocodiles, and leopards. The area is home to over 120 bird species out of an estimated 500. The tower is equipped with fans, a bar fridge, and a mystifier to ensure comfort during hot days.
