Boplaas Cottages is situated in the remote Gamkaskloof, often referred to as ‘Die Hel’. Accommodation consists of two original ‘Kloovers’ cottages that have been sensitively renovated to retain their charm and authenticity.
"Oom Hannes" accommodates up to 6 people in 3 cosy bedrooms. An attempt has been made to retain much of its rustic charm. The original steps, beams, reed ceilings and hearth with wood-burning Dover stove remain original. Accommodation includes a comfortable lounge area with a dining table with seating for 6. The main bedroom has views of the southern berg and an en-suite toilet. Bedroom 2 has a double bed with north-facing views down a tree-lined path. Bedroom 3 is furnished with 2 single beds with the window north facing.
The kitchen is equipped with a Dover stove, a 2-burner gas stove, and a fridge. The bathroom leads off the front verandah and is fitted with a shower, a toilet and a washbasin. The braai area is shaded by large peppercorn trees and has plenty of seating. A braai grid, potjie pot and utensils are provided. The splash pool is perfect for cooling off on a hot day.
