Harteliefhuisie offers excellent accommodation to 4 guests on a private game farm in the Waterberg, only a 75-minute drive from Pretoria.
Ideal for nature lovers, the lovely multi-storey cottage comprises 2 bedrooms (1 bedroom is in the loft), 1 bathroom, a kitchen, and a lounge. The main bedroom is furnished with a double bed, and the loft room contains 2 single beds. The 2 rooms share the use of a bathroom with a shower, and all linen and towels are provided; guests please need to bring their own swimming towels.
The open-plan kitchen is equipped with a microwave, a two-plate gas stove, a fridge with a small freezer section, an air fryer, as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities. Guests can relax in the lounge, which is furnished with a standard TV and opens onto the patio.
The cottage also has a private boma with wood-fire braai facilities, as well as a gas braai (only for wintertime). Guests also have access to a private pool next to the cottage for those hot summer days. In the dry winter months, strict fire-making rules apply. Guests are welcome to bring their own bicycles to explore the farm, and the farm has an electric fence, as well as 24-hour security.
The farm offers a variety of activities ranging from walking, cycling, bird watching, photography, and their own game drives. A variety of animals can be seen such as kudu, impala, giraffe, red hartebeest, zebra, blue wildebeest, and if guests are lucky they will be able to see an aardvark or hyena at night. The farm also has a variety of bird species and tree species that can be identified.
This romantic cottage was made for a bushveld getaway far from the hustle and bustle of the city.
