Chanteclair Guest House is nestled in the picturesque Franschhoek Valley, just 75 km from the Cape Town City centre, this historical town is one of South Africa’s oldest settlements. A walk through the fragrant gardens and orchard and up to the top of the vineyard offers panoramic views of the Franschhoek Valley and an opportunity to see the diverse local bird life. The Franschhoek Valley is renowned for winemaking and at Chanteclair we produce our own Cabernet Sauvignon, Chenin Blanc and Malbec.

The main house at Chanteclair is a tastefully converted farmhouse, situated in an exquisitely landscaped and tranquil garden setting, offering luxurious accommodation and delicious breakfasts. The main house has 4 double or twin rooms and 2 separate detached units, namely, Vine Cottage and The Studio. The rooms in the house are named after the trees adjacent to them in the garden, Jacaranda, Cork Oak, Prunus and Syringa. All the rooms are en suite, some have a fireplace or under-floor heating and all have superb views either to the vineyards or the mountains.
