Description

DeMist River Campsite is a campsite situated on the banks of the Gamtoos River. The campsite is set on a working citrus farm, at the gateway to the Baviaanskloof but still on the main road and easily accessible by any small vehicle. In fact, you will be able to drive right up to the river.

Although the camp is off-the-grid with no electricity, it does offer running water, flushing toilets, and nice hot showers, all bush camping style. This property also has additional units on the premises.

The farm offers catch-and-release fishing, and plenty of hiking trails, and for bird watchers, there are several small bird species, as well as a residential fish eagle pair.

You will be close enough for a quick trip to Patensie town to stock up on provisions, or if you need a change of scenery you can visit Jeffrey's Bay for the day
