The house is fully furnished and comprises 2 en-suite bedrooms, and an open-plan living area. The main bedroom is equipped with a four-poster double bed, and there are 2 single beds in the second room. The kitchenette is well-equipped to prepare meals, containing a bar fridge; an oven; a gas stove; crockery and cutlery, and a few other appliances. It is also equipped with tea and coffee-making facilities with milk, sugar and rusks.
Guests are welcome to make use of the outdoor braai facilities, where one can admire lovely views of the surrounds. For the adventurous, activities that can be enjoyed on-site are scenic walks, cycling paths, horse riding, sheep herding as well as other seasonal farm activities.
De Rust is a closely-knit farming community and the small town plays host to quaint shops and interesting characters. The area also produces some of the best olive oil in the country, as well as delectable wines, home-baking, artisanal crafts, and vegetables and fruit.
