Description
Dundonald Lodge offers comfortable self-catering accommodation with a lovely view of Port Elizabeth's (Gqeberha) leafy Baakens Valley. Situated on a sloping view site, there is an airy spacious feel and bird-life abound. This property is suitable for family visits or work teams, our tariffs offer very low rates per head, although the units are priced as a whole.
This property has 4 units namely Dundonald Lodge, Dundonald Sunrise Suite, Dundonald Studio and The Karibu Suite that can accommodate 13 guests in total.
The Lodge offers a main living area with lounge seating at the TV as well as a breakfast bar and a kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering with the usual small appliances plus a grill microwave, electric oven, gas hob, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine. However, most guests enjoy living "al fresco" using the 6-seater dining table on the covered back deck overlooking the private braai lapa. The lodge is wheelchair-accessible.
The Lodge can accommodate 6 guests and offers a main bedroom furnished with a queen-size bed, a second bedroom with 2 single beds, and a third bedroom with 1 single bed downstairs as well as a loft area with a single bed. The loft area is accessed via a ladder and may not be suitable for small children or the elderly. All bedrooms have lots of built-in cupboards. The first bathroom is fitted with a bath and the second bathroom has a shower.
The Studio can accommodate 2 guests and has a queen-size bed. There is a kitchenette, a dining area, and an Android TV. The kitchenette is fully equipped for self-catering with a small fridge, grill microwave, induction hob, electric frying pan, kettle, and toaster.
The Sunrise Suite sleeps 5 guests and comprises the Studio and an interleading room with 1 double bed, 1 single bed, and a lounge area.
The Studio can be booked alone as a 2-sleeper, however, the interleading second room cannot be booked alone. These 2 units share a bathroom fitted with a shower.
There is a dedicated under-cover braai facility for the Studio, Karibu and Sunrise Suite guests, in the garden, a 40 m walk away.
The Karibu Suite has premium finishes and is suitable for 2 guests, with a queen-size bed and en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower. This suite has a fully equipped kitchen. All guests have access to free, fiber Wi-Fi and secure on-site parking for 1 vehicle per unit.
This accommodation is in close proximity to the airport, hospitals, shops and restaurants. Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha) has no reliable transport, however, mini-van taxis and Ubers are available.
