Description
Fires Mountain Lodge Chalet 1 is a charming self-catering log cabin nestled against the slopes of the Waterberg Mountains, overlooking the Hartbeespoort Dam and Magaliesberg Mountains. Conveniently located on the R511, it offers direct access to a range of local activities.
The cabin accommodates 2 guests and is furnished with a double bed. The bathroom is fitted with a shower, toilet, and basin. Towels, bedding, dishcloths, and starter toilet paper are provided. Each room has a fan, but there is no air conditioning.
The kitchen is equipped with a stove, oven, microwave, bar fridge, cutlery, and crockery. The living area offers comfortable seating, though there is no TV.
Outdoor braai facilities are available under the trees, and secure parking is provided. A communal swimming pool is set within a lush subtropical garden, offering 180-degree views. The large communal pool is surrounded by rocks, creating a natural setting. Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. A sundeck with a braai area provides breathtaking views of the village, dam, and mountains, with stunning sunsets year-round.
The property is home to over 100 bird species, with occasional visits from baboons and monkeys. At night, the distant calls of jackals can sometimes be heard.
Nearby attractions include restaurants, Jasmyn Windmill, major supermarkets, the cableway, elephant and monkey sanctuaries, De Wildt Cheetah and Wildlife Research Centre, a crocodile farm, hot air ballooning, boat cruises, the Snake and Animal Park, Chameleon Village, and many more.
