The original Cottage is one of the oldest buildings in Clarens, dating back to the 1900s. The property has incredible views of the Red and Maluti Mountains and a view of Golden Gate in the distance.
Gentle Presence Cottages offers self-catering accommodation in two distinct cottages: the Heritage Cottage and the Garden Cottage. These cottages are separate from each other, each with its own entrance, parking behind gates, patio areas for outdoor dining or entertainment, and braai/firepits.
Gentle Presence Cottage 1, Heritage Cottage, sleeps 6 guests. It has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and an open-plan living area with a queen-size sleeper couch and a Smart TV with Netflix and YouTube or the option to use your own credentials for DStv streaming. The fully equipped kitchen includes a fridge, stove with oven, microwave, and more. The beautiful patio is perfect for outdoor entertaining. Upstairs, both bedrooms feature queen-size beds and en-suite bathrooms with a shower-over-bath. Rooms have access to a balcony with views of the garden and mountains.
Gentle Presence Cottage 2, Garden Cottage, sleeps 2 guests. This modern open-plan cottage includes a well-equipped kitchenette with a fridge, microwave, and a portable 2-plate stove. It is tastefully decorated and has an en-suite bathroom with a toilet and shower. The Smart TV allows guests to enjoy Netflix and YouTube and stream DStv using their own sign-in credentials.
Guests can explore and enjoy the shared garden on the property. The owners live on the premises.
Gentle Presence Cottages is located 300 m from the town square where there are many restaurants, coffee shops, shops, and art galleries. Clarens Golf Estate is less than 3 km away, the Golden Gate National Park is about 25 km away and the Fouriesburg border post to Lesotho is only a 30-minute drive away. Remember, a passport is required to enter Lesotho.
