Description
Glenside Farmhouse is located on a working farm, just outside of Winterton, in the foothills of the majestic Central Drakensberg. Glenside is over 100-years old, and has the grace and charm of a bygone era with its high ceilings, wooden floors, fireplaces and wide verandas.
The house can accommodate 18 guests and contains 6 bedrooms. The main bedroom has a king-size bed and has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, bath and toilet. The second bedroom has a king-size bed, bunk bed and a cot. The third bedroom has a queen-size bed and bunk bed. These rooms share a bathroom fitted with a shower and toilet. The fourth bedroom contains 2 three-quarter beds and has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower and toilet. The fifth bedroom has a double bed and has an en-suite fitted with a shower and toilet. The sixth bedroom is a cottage in the garden and has a queen-size bed, 2 single beds and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower and toilet. Linen and bath towels are provided.
The house has very spacious living areas including a lounge and dining room, both with fireplaces, a breakfast room, kitchen, sunroom and covered verandas on 2 sides of the house. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering including 3 fridges, microwave, stove and oven, and includes a separate scullery with a dishwasher and a washing machine.
The garden is fully fenced and has a braai pit, a portable braai and a swimming pool.
The farm is 850 hectares so there is plenty of veld to roam in, a river to explore and endless farm roads to cycle or walk.
