Description
Hardeveld Lodge is a small lodge managed by the owners Cobus and Hester Velthuizen. This lodge is ideally situated on the N7 Cape/Namibia route. It is located 360 km north of Cape Town in a village called Nuwerus. We are proud members of Namaqua Tourism and pride ourselves in being a fully compliant establishment.
Accommodation comprises of camping facilities with hot water ablutions as well as guest rooms with own private bathrooms. Self-catering units have their own kitchen facilities and some have their own built-in braais at the unit. All units have TV and DStv and this applies to the communal lounge as well. Breakfast and dinner are available on request. The lodge is pet-friendly with two separate fenced pet-friendly units.
Nearby attractions include the wildflowers during the flower season, rare succulent sites, the succulent nursery on Vanrhynsdorp, and a scenic 4x4 Circle Route via the West Coast, Groenrivier and Garies. Walking is the best way to discover small jewels of plants sheltered between taller plants and rocks. Alternatively, guests can create their own mountain biking route in a historically safe environment. There are a limited amount of bicycles for guests to make use of.
