Description
Houseboat Myrtle is a totally self-contained wooden cottage on the water. Permanently anchored in the Knysna Lagoon, it’s a 2-minute dinghy ride from the Knysna Waterfront, and your hosts will give you lessons to get you going on the water.
Myrtle is one of the original Knysna houseboats and has a lovely wood finish inside. The houseboat sleeps 4 guests. The private main bedroom contains a double bed and has its own deck. There is a double sleeper couch in the living area. The boat has a hot shower, a toilet and a washbasin.
There is a lounge and dining area with a fireplace, and a kitchen nook equipped with a stove and oven and a fridge. The boat has 2 decks, ideal for lazy days floating on the lagoon. From the deck you can enjoy views of the lagoon, the quays and the Knysna Heads, catch fish or just relax.
If you’re not keen on staying in, the restaurants at the Waterfront are easily accessible, and a small transport dinghy is yours for the duration of your stay.
