Description
The Kallabaskop Eco Lodge, which is surrounded by the Namaqua National Park, is just a short drive from the Namaqua National Park. Between August to September, guests will be in for a treat when the region's flowers are in full bloom.
This tranquil off-the-grid eco-lodge is not near any shops, so you will need to bring enough food, wood and water. The lodge is accessed via a gravel road that can be driven in a low-clearance sedan vehicle, provided you drive slowly.
Accommodation is offered in 5 double rooms that each contain 2 three-quarter beds and a private toilet and a washbasin. Each room has a fan and a small fridge.
For those that prefer to bring their own camping equipment, there are covered campsites available.
Guests will have shared use of a communal lapa with picnic benches, braai facilities and basic kitchen facilities including a gas stove and freezer.
The communal separate gents' and ladies' ablutions facilities offer hot showers, toilets and washbasins. The shower water is brackish and not potable.
The lodge is solar-powered, but guests will not be able to make use of appliances with heating elements such as hairdryers and hair straighteners. The cell phone signal is very limited at the lodge. A small shop with card facilities are available.
