Located in the well-known in Magoebaskloof, situated between Polokwane and Tzaneen, only 500 m from the R71 on the Houtbosdorp Road is Kaltenbach Cottages. Ideally situated close to all the well-known wedding venues in Magoebaskloof. Accommodation is offered in 2 cottages Takbok and Loerie.
Takbok cottage can accommodate 4 guests and comprises 2 bedrooms that are each furnished with 2 single beds. A shower, washbasin and toilet are available in the bathroom.
The main living area features an open-plan design with a kitchen, dining space and cosy lounge area with a large indoor braai. The kitchen is equipped with a 2-plate gas stove, microwave, fridge-freezer, cutlery and crockery as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities.
Leading from the kitchen is a 6-seater dining table where guests can enjoy their meals together. Through the sliding doors, there is a wooden deck with outdoor seating where guests can relax with a sundowner and completely admire the beautiful surrounding views.
Loerie cottage is a single-room unit and can accommodate 2 guests and comprises a bedroom that is furnished with 2 single beds. Guest can request to convert this to a king-sized bed on request. The separate bathroom is fitted with a shower, washbasin and toilet. The kitchenette is equipped with a 2-plate gas stove, a fridge and a microwave. There is a dining area for 2 and a beautiful view of the indigenous forest and an authentic stove that serves as a fireplace. On top of the unit is a braai area with a panoramic view of the area. The braai area is included in the rate.
Access to free Wi-Fi is available but unfortunately, the unit has no TV. Books, magazines, board games, puzzles, hiking opportunities, mountain bike trails and trout ponds are some of the activities that guests can enjoy on and around Farm Kaltenbach. Kaltenbach Cottage is also centrally located close to hiking and mountain biking trails as well as the Haenertsburg Trout Association's dams and rivers.
Located on the edge of the hill; the cottage enjoys a breathtaking view over a part of Essenhout forest. Inside, guests can visit the tallest tree in Africa, as well as the tallest planted tree in the world.
