Located in a remote and untouched part of the Kariega wilderness, Settlers Drift Luxury Tented Lodge offers a unique tented safari combined with luxury. The lodge consists of 9 spacious tented suites, each with stunning views and secluded viewing decks. Gazing down from the decks overlooking the Bushman’s River, it feels as if time has stood still since the last feet to have touched this remote valley were those of the 1820 Settlers as they guided their wagons across the river. The luxuriously appointed and perfectly positioned tented lodge delivers the ultimate guest experience.
Each spacious 110-square metre tented safari suite features an opulent bedroom with a king-size bed that can be converted to 2 single beds, a wood-burning fireplace, a lounge area, and a full en-suite bathroom with a contemporary free-standing bath, double washbasins, and an indoor and outdoor shower. Each suite contains air-conditioning and an overhead fan, a hairdryer, safe for valuables, tea- and coffee-making facilities, telephone, and a complimentary mini-bar. Each suite opens to a private viewing deck with seating.
The main lodge area offers a restaurant and bar, a wine cellar, library and curio shop. The lodge opens to spacious decks, a boma firepit with seating, and a lovely swimming pool. Spa treatments can be arranged. Internet connectivity is available in both the main lodge and in the tented safari suites.
