Karri Grove Gemsbok Cottage offers self-catering accommodation and is located on a private working farm, situated approximately 22 km from central Graaff-Reinet. This solar and gas-powered cottage offers a tranquil farm stay away from busy city life.
This off-the-grid cottage can accommodate up to 4 persons and consists of 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The charging of the battery is dependant on the weather. The main bedroom is furnished with a double bed, and the second bedroom is equipped with 2 single beds. The bathroom is fitted with a shower, a basin, and a toilet. The cottage has a kitchenette that contains a fireplace that can be used as a braai area, a gas stove, a bar fridge, and a selection of crockery, cutlery, and utensils. Please note that high energy, like extra fridges, air-fryers etc must only be used during the day while the sun shines.
The adjacent open-plan lounge has couches to relax on and leads out onto the patio, which offers lovely views of the farm. The cottage has a solar geyser that provides hot water. The livestock and game farm produces amazing Saffron spice and Karoo lamb bacon. Guests can enjoy activities such as self-drive game drives, cycling, walks, and stargazing.
