Knockwarren Mountain Escape is a charming self-catering farmhouse nestled in the breathtaking Southern Drakensberg. Situated about 63 km from Barkly East, this idyllic property is only accessible via a gravel road.
This farmhouse can comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests and comprises 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, and a living area. The main and fourth bedroom has 1 double bed and 1 single bed. The second bedroom has 2 single beds, the third bedroom has 1 double bed and the fifth bedroom has 1 single bed and 1 bunk bed. The first bathroom is fitted with a bath, shower, toilet and washbasin, and the second bathroom is fitted with a bath, toilet, and washbasin.
The kitchen is equipped with a fridge-freezer, gas stove, coal stove, oven, microwave, washing machine, cutlery and crockery, as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities. This area further extends into the dining room with a dining table where guests can enjoy their meals together. The spacious living area is furnished with a lounge suite, a fireplace and a flat-screen TV. Free Wi-Fi is also available.
The backyard has a lapa with braai facilities that are ideal for entertaining. With an array of activities on offer, guests can immerse themselves in nature and indulge in hiking, fly fishing in numerous spots alongside the river, and swimming. During winter, there's even a chance to witness the magnificent snow-capped mountains. The property is surrounded by the Ben 10 eco challenge passes, making it the ideal base for adventure enthusiasts looking to tackle the passes with their 4x4 or adventure bikes.
