Kraanvoëlkuil Karoo Lodge is a game farm style lodge offering self-catering accommodation just 10km from the small town of Pearson. Situated in the Plains of the Camdeboo on 3800 hectares you will find free-roaming game animals including gemsbuck, steenbuck, springbuck, blue wildebeest, black wildebeest, sable, roan, and blesbuck. Enjoy a bike ride while viewing game along the road and relax next to a big campfire at night. Kraanvoëlkuil Karoo Lodge is a lovely quiet getaway.

Built in 2001, Kraanvoëlkuil Karoo Lodge offers the comforts of while, while still being off-the-grid. Power is provided by a solar system, and an old fashioned wood-fired “donkey” water heater is used to provide hot water.

The lodge offers accommodation in 5 lodge rooms, which each contain 2 single beds that can be converted to a king-size bed and a shower en suite.

Guests will have shared use of a communal kitchen, dining and living room. The kitchen is well-equipped for self-catering with a fridge, stove and oven, and tea, and coffee-making facilities. The dining area contains a 10-seater dining table and chairs. The lounge features couches, a fireplace, a built-in bar, and an indoor braai fireplace. Firewood is provided. Outside there is a lovely firepit with chairs, the ideal place to relax and enjoy the stars.

24-hour staff assistance is provided. A back-up generator is available. Pets are permitted by prior arrangement. Laundry facilities are available.

The lodge can be booked out as a whole exclusively to 1 group of up to 10 guests on request.
