Description
Spanish House is a double-storey self-catering house in Malagas. Malagas is a settlement on the banks of the Breede River framed by the Potberg Mountain range, 30 km south-east of Swellendam and 280 km or a 2 and a half hour drive from Cape Town. The house has a large patio overlooking the river, a welcoming sight with vast vistas of the Potberg Mountains and the Breede River.
Spanish House can accommodate up to 15 guests and is ideally suited for 8 adults and 7 children, or 4 families at ease. Accommodation is offered in a 3-bedroom Main House, and a separate 2-bedroom Cottage.
The first bedroom is upstairs in the Main House and contains a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower, a toilet and a washbasin. The second and third bedrooms are on the ground-floor of the Main House. The second bedroom contains a king-size bed and a shower en suite with a toilet and washbasin. The third bedroom contains a double bed, a single bed, and an en-suite bathroom with a shower, a toilet and a washbasin.
The kitchen, dining and living area are located on the ground-floor of the Main House. The kitchen is well-equipped for self-catering with a gas hob and oven, fridge-freezers, an ice machine, dishwasher, and cutlery and crockery. There is also a 6-seater dining table in the kitchen. The air-conditioned lounge contains an L-shaped couch, a flat-screen TV, and a fireplace. There is an enclosed patio with an indoor braai, an 8-seater dining table, a couch, and a fridge-freezer. The house opens to a wooden deck with an 8-seater dining table and chairs, overlooking the river, ideal for many hours of socialising. Next to the deck is a sheltered outdoor area with an 8-seater dining table and chairs and a firepit. The grass lawns connect with the neighbours. The garden stretches to the edge of the river creating a lovely kids friendly area with a private beach area.
The separate Cottage at the rear of the house contains 2 bedrooms. The first bedroom contains a double bed, and a pull-out single bed. The second bedroom contains a bunk bed, and a tri-bunk bed with a double bed bottom-bunk and a single bed top-bunk. The cottage has its own kitchenette with a fridge-freezer and a 2-plate stove and oven.
