Luara Wildlife is nestled on a picturesque farm located on the outskirts of Thabazimbi, a short drive from Marakele National Park. Game drives can be arranged to view the wild animals that freely roam the farm.
Accommodation is offered in either a free-standing tree house or 2 sets of structured tents. Meerkat Manor, the tree house, is suitable for 2 adults with 2 children and is accessed by stairs. The open-plan bedroom on the second level comprises a queen-size bed and a bunk bed which is suitable for 2 children under the age of 12. The en-suite bathroom is fitted with a shower and the kitchenette on the ground level features a bar fridge, and a gas stove. Meerkat Manor boasts a private braai area and splash pool.
The Bushbabies Nest tent was created for guests to have an 'under the stars' lodging experience in the bushveld. It is suitable for 2 adults and is divided into 3 different levels. The third level offers a star-gazing experience and comprises a 4-poster queen-size bed with a mosquito net. The bedroom on the second level also has a queen-size bed. The ground level features the kitchen which is equipped with a gas stove, camp fridge, and tea- and coffee-making facilities, and a bathroom which is fitted with a shower, toilet and basin. Bushbabies Nest boasts a Lapa with private braai facilities and a splash pool. When it rains, the third level is not available, however, a dome tent will be made available which will contain twin beds. This tent is solar-powered.
The Luxury Tents consists of 2 structured tents that are connected by wooden bridges. The first tent comprises a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a bath, while the second tent comprises 2 single beds which can be converted into a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a bath. The bridge leads to a large outdoor shower, a fully equipped outdoor kitchen, and a Lapa area. The Luxury Tents boast a private swimming pool and braai area.
The farm offers a number of activities for guests to enjoy during their stay and includes game drives and fishing.
