Description
Lucernvale House is an off-grid old home of the famous poet G.A. Watermeyer, located on a working farm 70 km outside of Nieu-Bethesda. This beautiful old house is nestled at the foot of Compassberg, the highest free-standing peak in the Eastern Cape.
The house features 5 bedrooms and a bathroom fitted with a bath, a shower, a toilet, and a basin. There are 2 bedrooms, each furnished with a double bed, while the remaining bedrooms each have 2 single beds.
The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and contains a stove, oven, fridge-freezer, microwave, cutlery, and crockery. The living area features a dining table, comfortable seating, and a fireplace.
Dotted around, not far from the house, are dams and reservoirs to cool off in. Lucernvale House offers so much more than just a house. It offers an escape, a retreat, a place to recharge, to rethink, and to explore. It offers adventure and solace.
