Description
Magpela Cottage is a lovely self-catering cottage and hut that is situated at the foot of the Witkoppe mountain range that can accommodate up to 6 guests.
The Cottage is comfortably furnished for 4, the main bedroom has a double bed, while the second room contains 2 single beds. The 2 rooms share the use of a bathroom with a shower. Heaters, a hairdryer and a hair straightener is provided. The cottage is also equipped with a 2-plate stove and oven, a microwave, as well as a fridge. Complimentary tea, coffee, sugar, milk and rusks provided.
There is also a separate hut next to the cottage. It is warmly and stylishly furnished. It sleeps 2 guests sharing. It is equipped with a double bed and en-suite bathroom. The bathroom has a shower, basin and toilet. This unique hut offers privacy but also integrates with the cottage in terms of kitchen facilities.
Braai facilities, as well as wood, is available for guests to use. Children are welcome, and the play area is sure to keep them entertained while the parents relax.
Special arrangements can also be made for couples on a romantic breakaway or honeymoon and can consist of a picnic on the mountain, roses/flowers or sparkling wine; all at an additional cost. Available if arranged 1 week in advance.
Magpela Cottage is situated 18 km from Verkykerskop, 60 km from Harrismith and 250 km from Johannesburg, and its location makes it the ideal a family or couple's getaway.
