Meerkatsgat is located on a working farm a mere 8 km from the small town of Jan Kempdorp and 18 km from Hartswater. The guest house is located near the N18-highway and 100 km from Kimberley Airport.

Accommodation is provided in 3 self-catering units, 2 semi-self-catering units, and 2 en-suite rooms. All units have braai facilities and kitchenettes with basic self-catering facilities that include a bar fridge, a microwave, tea- and coffee-making facilities, and crockery. Some units are equipped with TVs and air-conditioners. Braai packets and wood are available at an additional cost.

All meals are available on request by prior arrangement with the establishment. Secure on-site parking is provided for all guests. The farm is fenced around with electric fencing.
