Description

Merindol Manor is one of the oldest heritage homes in the picturesque wine- and olive-producing Riebeek Valley, in the heart of the Swartland, about 84 km from Cape Town.

Once a stately family home, now a lovingly restored boutique guest house, Merindol Manor has landscaped gardens, its own olive grove, and freshly-picked fruit and vegetables from its bountiful gardens. Breakfast eggs are collected from the fluffy hens each morning.

Accommodation is offered in 4 spacious double rooms, each with a mountain, pool or garden views. The rooms on offer include The Chenin Room, The Grenache Room, The Shiraz Room and The Viognier Room. Each room has a comfortable queen-size bed made up of crisp white linen and an en suite bathroom. Room facilities include a TV, bar fridge, Nespresso coffee machine, hairdryer, a safe for valuables as well as Wi-Fi access.

Breakfast can be enjoyed each morning in the dining room, and dinner is available on request.

The manor has a little library, lovingly stocked with both French and South African literature, including comic books for youngsters. Guests can take a dip in the swimming pool or relax on the sun loungers and a braai area is available.
