Description
Newburg Lodge and Luxury Tents are located in a valley on the Newburg Farm neighbouring Elements Private Golf Reserve in the malaria-free Waterberg region. The closest town is Bela-Bela, 29 km away, and the lodge is just an hour and a half drive from Pretoria. The Newburg Farm is operated as a game farm and has a variety of animals including buffalo, oryx, kudu, waterbuck, warthog, nyala, wildebeest, and giraffe. It is also a bird lover's paradise. The Newburg Lodge and Luxury Tents are accessible to guests only through the Elements Private Golf Reserve property via a controlled gate.
Self-catering accommodation is offered in 5 Luxury Bush Tents, 2 Honeymoon Suite Tents, and a 16-sleeper Lodge.
Each Luxury Bush Tent and Honeymoon Suite Tent can accommodate up to 4 guests and comprises 2 rooms with a canvas partition. The first room contains a king-size bed, a ceiling fan, air-conditioning, a seating area, and twin washbasins, and leads to a shower en-suite with a toilet and washbasin, and an outdoor shower. The second room contains 2 single beds, and a kitchenette equipped with a fridge-freezer, microwave, gas hob, and cutlery and crockery. Each tent has a TV with a full bouquet of DStv channels. Each tent opens to a covered patio with outdoor dining furniture and a built-in braai. Both Honeymoon Suite tents have wood-fired hot tubs and their own firepits.
All 7 tents can be booked out together exclusively for 1 group of up to 28 people, in which instance guests will have use of a communal boma with a fully equipped kitchen and dining area, a built-in braai, and a swimming pool.
The thatched Lodge can accommodate up to 16 guests and comprises 4 en-suite chalets and a main lodge area. Each chalet can accommodate 4 guests and contains 4 single beds and an en-suite bathroom with a free-standing bath, twin washbasins, an enclosed toilet and an outdoor shower. The main lodge area contains a fully equipped kitchen, a large dining area, and a lounge with a TV with a selection of DStv channels. Outside is a large covered patio deck with outdoor dining furniture, and a splash pool for the exclusive use of the lodge guests. There is also a large boma with seating, built-in braai facilities, and a firepit, ideal for a night under the stars. Shadecloth parking is available.
All the Tents and the Lodge are serviced daily.
Newburg Lodge, Honeymoon Suite Tents, and Luxury Bush Tents are situated approximately 200 m from the private access gate to Elements Private Golf Reserve. Guests have use of the facilities at Elements when staying at Newburg, such as golf (for guest's account), a swimming pool, tennis courts, mountain bike trails and a restaurant and much more.
