Oban Gasteplaas is nestled in a scenic valley and boasts a rich history spanning over 101 years. This charming guest farm is ideal for family gatherings, team-building events, birdwatching, hiking, overnight stays, and small, intimate weddings.
Accommodation is offered in neat, clean cottages and rooms within a secure environment. Options include single rooms, double rooms, rooms for two, family rooms, and four self-catering units: Jan's Cabin, Mayflower Cottage, Blue Gum Cottage, and Joe's Cottage. Each room and cottage features its own en-suite facilities.
Guests can enjoy a hearty farm-style breakfast every morning in the spacious, rustic dining room. Lunches and 2- or 3-course dinners can be arranged on request.
The farm carries a proud legacy of hospitality dating back to the Anglo-Boer War. The stone house was built at the end of World War II as a haven for soldiers awaiting transport home, and their names are engraved on the rocks near the kitchen.
