Everything you need in a cute cottage.

Really sweet cottage, tastefully appointed and well done. The renovation has been cleverly done to retain aspects of the old prison cells. Comfortable bed, good shower and everything you need for an overnight stay.

Pragtig, skoon en netjies, met alles wat jy nodig het, ook die middag geëet by Stuff, wat ook heerlike ontbyt aanbied. Mense vriendelik en verwelkomend, sal baie beslis weer gaan en ook vriende en familie aanbeveel.

Comfy, clean and historical.

We stayed in the Old Court House. It was comfortable, clean and well equipped, and the aircon was a life-saver. It does differ from the marketing info, though, with no boutique shop, no coffee shop and no deli on the premises, changes which appear to have occurred in the last year (judging from other reviews in 2024). You can now obtain a few items from the owner's pub down the road, The Dusty Dog, but early on Friday afternoon there was one packet of wors, one packet of lamb chops and numerous packets of chicken kebabs, so you're best advised to bring your own supplies. All in all, we enjoyed our little visit.

Thank you for your feedback! We have since rectified the information on our website and apologise for any inconvenience caused by the closing down of the shop on the premises. We are currently in the process of adding a freezer where you will be able to stock up on "braai" essentials and sourdough bread to name but a few.
