Description

Ons Dorpshuis is a charming guest house located on the outskirts of Beaufort West, in the heart of the Karoo region. This historic eco-tourism stop is the oldest and largest town in the Great Karoo region, offering a collection of Stone Age sites, rock art, dinosaur fossils, and a variety of architectural influences.

Accommodation is offered in a choice of a standard double room or a family room. The double room can sleep 2 guests while the family room is suitable for 2 adults with 2 children. The rooms both have its own bathroom and each is equipped with a microwave, tea- and coffee-making facilities, a TV with OVHD, air-conditioning, bar fridge, and ceiling fan.

Each unit opens onto a patio with a picnic table. There is also a braai area, free Wi-Fi and ample parking available on the premises.

Guests can visit the nearby Karoo National Park which is home to a variety of indigenous buck and birds and is a sanctuary for the highly endangered black rhino and riverine rabbit. Activities to enjoy in the area include hiking, 4x4 trails, game viewing, and historical tours.
