Description
Shepherd's Cottage is a beautifully restored self-catering cottage dating back to the 1800s, situated on a sprawling 200-hectare working farm in the Voor-Paardeberg wine region. It's an ideal retreat for a couple or a small family seeking a break from the busy city.
This cottage can accommodate up to 4 guests at a time and consists of 2 air-conditioned en-suite bedrooms. The first bedroom is tastefully furnished with a queen-size bed, and the bathroom is fitted with both a bath and a shower. The second bedroom features 2 single beds, with an en-suite bathroom that includes a shower. Linen and bath towels are provided.
The unit boasts a well-equipped kitchen, complete with a stove, oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, cutlery, crockery, fridge-freezer, and dishwasher. Adjacent to the kitchen is a cosy living area, furnished with a 6-seater dining table and comfortable couches surrounding an indoor fireplace. Complimentary Wi-Fi access is also available.
Outside, guests can enjoy a patio with outdoor seating, sun loungers, and a fire pit, as well as a splash pool, all while soaking in the picturesque views of the vineyards. The farm is home to eland, and their calves often graze around the cottages and occasionally visit the plunge pool for a drink. During the day, springbok frolic in the veld, and larger game such as wildebeest, zebra, and the rare bontebok can be spotted.
