Skuilkrans Private Nature Reserve, nestled in the foothills of the Riviersonderend Mountains in the Overberg, just outside McGregor, offers a tranquil escape for nature lovers. Surrounded by pristine Klein Karoo fynbos, guests can enjoy breathtaking views, peaceful relaxation, stargazing, and invigorating hikes.

This property provides guests with a choice of 2 solar-powered self-catering cottages: the Rustic Mountain Cottage, which can accommodate up to 6 adults and 4 children and features a wood-fired hot tub, and the Hideaway Cottage, which accommodates 2 adults. Each unit has comfortable beds, with the Rustic Mountain Cottage featuring an eco-friendly dry toilet and an outdoor camp shower, while the Hideaway Cottage has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower. Both units are equipped with a gas stove, fridge, lounging areas, and braai facilities.

Please note that access requires a 4x4 high-profile vehicle, but a shuttle service is available at an additional cost if needed. The reserve is reached via a 7 km intermediate-difficulty 4x4 route, offering a scenic mountain drive that takes approximately 60 to 90 minutes from McGregor.
