Splashy Fen Cottage is a secluded thatched self-catering cottage located on the Splashy Fen Farm which is home to South Africa's longest running and oldest music festival, the Splashy Fen Festival. If you are looking for peace and solitude with spectacular views of the Drakensberg mountains, lovely spots for swimming and tubing and fantastic hiking and birding, this is the place for you.
Splashy Fen Cottage can accommodate up to 10 guests and contains 3 bedrooms, an upstairs loft-style mezzanine room, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen and dining area, and a lounge. The first bedroom contains a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a bath and a shower. The second bedroom contains 2 single beds, and the third bedroom contains a double bed. The second bathroom is off the lounge area and contains a bath and a toilet.
The kitchen is well-equipped with a hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, and a sculley area. There is a 6-seater wooden dining table and chairs in the kitchen. The cosy lounge features a fireplace and couches. The upstairs mezzanine is off the lounge area and is accessed via a ladder, with wooden railing. The mezzanine contains 3 single beds and an additional pull-out mattress.
Outside there is a tranquil patio and garden area with outdoor dining furniture and braai facilities.
