Description
Sungubala Eco Camp is an eco self-catering camp set on a secluded mountain farm wilderness below the Sungubala Mountain, overlooking the Sungubala Valley. The camp is ideal for relaxing or a nature lover’s active getaway. The surrounding area is a declared conservancy adjacent to the Ukhahlamba Drakensberg World Heritage Site.
Self-catering accommodation is offered in Thatched Chalets, a Mountain Bungalow, Rondavels, and A-Frames. In keeping with the eco theme, all power is wind- and solar generated. Gas is used for cooking, and water heating.
There is a small pool at Sungubala, for a refreshing dip.
The Sungubala Eco Camp is a great base from which to explore the Ukhahlamba Drakensberg World Heritage Site. Nearby activities include mountain biking, hiking, swimming, horse riding, birding, tree-top cable tours, and an Adventure Centre. Guests have access to guided or self-guided trails in our unspoiled mountain wilderness.
