The Solomon is a self-catering and B&B guest house in Kimberley, Northern Cape. The main house was built in 1910 and has been tastefully converted to individual guests rooms, each with their own en-suite bathroom and furnished with high-quality fixtures and fittings.
Accommodation comprises 10 rooms. All rooms come equipped with comfortable beds, an en-suite bathroom fitted with a bath or shower, TV with a DSTV hotel bouquet, free Wi-Fi , and air-conditioning with a heater setting. Extra heaters and electric blankets can be provided for colder nights.
Although not included in the rates, breakfast can be booked in advance at an additional charge. Guests have access to a large garden with braai facilities and ample on-site parking. Some parking bays are shaded, but not all. The owners live in the adjoining property to provide added security and customer care.
The Solomon is located on Solomon Street, which lies between Main Road and Central Road in Kimberley.It is nestled between the historic suburbs of Beaconsfield, Herlear, Klisserville and Belgravia, halfway between Kimberley's historic "Big Hole" mine and the Du Toitspan mine.
