Guests have a choice of booking the Aloe which is self-catering with a fully equipped kitchen, dining and lounge area. There is a Smart TV. Guests can log in on their own DSTV log in details.
The Protea is a small cozy room with lovely ocean views from your bed. The Fynbos is a very spacious room. Both rooms have on-suite bathrooms, shower only. Although the Protea and Fynbos have no kitchen, each room is equipped with a mini fridge, kettle, microwave plus tea and coffee facilities. Each room has a Smart TV (guests can log in on their own DSTV log in details). Complimentary Wi fi. Free inside open parking behind electronic gate.
For bigger groups, all 3 units can be booked together for a maximum of 6 guests sharing.
Located on the ground floor and separate from the main house with a few steps down to the accommodation, the units are furnished with comfortable queen-size beds. Each unit is tastefully decorated and has ocean views. All units are situated next to each other. Tumble drier facilities with iron and ironing board in a separate room for all guests' usage. No washing machine. Dana Bay offers 3 laundromats.
Linen and bath towels are provided, guests please need to bring their own beach towels.
Guests have access to the communal garden (each has table with chairs outside in front of rooms) which overlooks the ocean and greenbelt, and guests will be able to see buck and various bird species. Dolphins are a regular sight and whales can be spotted in the bay between July and November. Please note, the owner lives on the premises. Pets are unfortunately not allowed.
Surrounded by fynbos, Dana Bay is located in the heart of the Cape Floral Kingdom and is home to free-roaming small game and wide variety of birdlife. The nearest town Mossel Bay offers various restaurants and museums, and activities ranging from watersports and hiking.
The famous St Blaize's Trail of about 12 km can be hiked from Dana Bay to the Point in Mossel Bay.
