Description
Situated in the heart of the Karoo, next to the Buffels River, Wagendrift Lodge offers everything for the whole family to enjoy. Set in beautiful gardens populated by a vast selection of birds, Wagendrift Lodge provides guests with the option to book in the stone lodge rooms or cottages, all of which are equipped for self-catering.
The accommodation features 3 cottages next to each other that can accommodate 1 to 4 guests at a time, furnished with comfortable beds, and each bathroom fitted with a shower and toilet. Each cottage has its own outdoor kitchen on the veranda of the cottage with all necessary kitchenware and build in braai facilities. Swimming pool next to the cottages for cottage guests only. Wi-fi is available for guests to use.
The five lodge rooms can accommodate a minimum of five guests and a maximum of ten guests, requiring the booking of at least three rooms in this unit. Guests will enjoy a spacious communal kitchen, a swimming pool, and a built-in braai. The kitchen is equipped with two fridges, a freezer, a microwave oven, and all necessary kitchenware and braai facilities. This expansive five-room lodge unit is ideal for group bookings, with each room accommodating one to two guests. Wi-Fi is available for guest use.
Wagendrift Lodge is a working farm that offers a variety of activities, including bird watching, hiking, mountain biking, and self-drive 4x4 routes. Guests may also encounter rare flora, zebras, giraffes, and a diverse array of game along the 4x4 route. Some game can even be spotted from the veranda of the cottages or the stone lodge rooms. You don't need to venture onto the 4x4 route to see some of the game, as they often come to graze in the open field in front of the cottages and lodge rooms at night. Be sure to bring your flashlight for this incredible experience.
The nearest town, Laingsburg, is located 30 km away, and please note that there are no shops on the farm.
