Westvaal Holiday Resort offers lovely camping accommodation on a beautiful family-owned nature resort on the banks of the Vaal River, Westvaal Holiday Resort is a favourite fishing spot and bird lover's paradise, just below the Barrage on the Vaal River.

On offer are 20 Riverside Camp Sites, 70 General Camp Sites, 2 Lodge Tents for 4, 1 Eland - Shaded Caravan for 6 or a Lodge Tent for 2. The Riverside and General campsites are either situated on the banks of the waterfront or nestled under a canopy of indigenous trees. These sites each have a capacity of 4 guests. Four of the Lodge Tents have a capacity of 4 guests, while another 2 Lodge Tents can each accommodate 2 guests. These structured tents are furnished with beds and all campsites make use of shared ablution facilities.

Additionally, the Eland Caravan site has a capacity of 4 adults and 2 children at a time. Inside the caravan, there is a double bed and 2 child-only single beds and outside the caravan are 2 single beds. Guests that book this unit or the Lodge Tents need to bring their own bedding as only fitted sheets are provided. This unit and the Lodge Tents each include a kitchenette equipped with a 2-plate stove, bar fridge, cutlery and crockery as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities.

This camp is set in an area of excellent bird life, making it the ideal break-away weekend venue to enjoy superb birding, fishing or simple relaxation. The marvellous 680 m river includes fish species such as Carp, Yellow fish, mud fish, Bass, Catfish and more.
